Chef Jack Jones
has worked at some of Chicago's finest dining establishments including
Yoshi's Café, Printer's Row, Terczak's and Spiaggia. One of his restaurants, Jack's on Halsted, was noted as a best new restaurant of '98 by Chicago Magazine.
Atlantique, located in Andersonville, has been haled as one of the finest new seafood restaurants in '99 and has been given a three star rating from Phil Vettel of the Chicago Tribune. It has also been named one of the top ten best seafood restuarants by the Chicago Sun Times and has been featured in Chicago Magazine as one of the best new restuarants of 2000.
His third restaurant, Bistro Marbuzet, located in Forest Park, features traditional French
as well as American fare. It was named one of the best new restaurants of 2001 by Chicago Magazine. Both Bistro Marbuzet and Atlantique were featured on Check, Please! and were rated very favorably
by all of the guests on the panal.
In April of 2005, Jack Jones closed his successful seafood restaurant,
Atlantique in Andersonville, to make room for RiOjA, his Spanish Mediterranean cafe, featuring big tapas flavors, and the great wines of Spain. RiOjA was closed in 2007 due to termination of lease.
Madison Street Grill, formarly Bistro Marbuzet was sold in February 2007.
Jack has now focused his attention on Jack's on Halsted.
